The Lofts on 6th is a $40+ million mixed-use development in Fort Lauderdale's Historic Sistrunk District that combines 90 affordable senior housing units with a new purpose-built facility for The Pantry of Broward. Developed in partnership with Green Mills Group, the project addresses two critical community needs by expanding affordable housing opportunities while providing a modern home for one of Broward County's longest-serving nonprofit organizations.
WGI provided planning and site design services, guiding the project through the entitlement process and developing the site plan that brought the vision to life. By strategically leveraging Florida's Live Local Act, WGI helped secure additional building height and streamline approvals without requiring rezoning, allowing the project to advance efficiently while maintaining its commitment to 100% affordable senior housing.
Scheduled for completion in late 2027, the eight-story development will provide modern residences, community amenities, and an expanded food pantry designed to better serve Broward County's growing senior population.
