44 East Groundbreaking and Demolition Party Raises Funds for The Trail Foundation

Austin’s newest residential tower is officially underway. The 44 East Avenue project, developed by Intracorp in Austin’s Rainey Street district, kicked off construction with a Demolition Party which raised over $110,000 for The Trail Foundation (TTF). WGI was a proud sponsor of the groundbreaking and fundraising event, which will help TTF fund improvements to Waller Beach Park as part of the Rainey Street Trailhead Project. TTF is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to protecting, enhancing, and connecting the Ann and Roy Butler Hike-and-Bike Trail at Lady Bird Lake. [caption id="attachment_32822" align="alignnone" width="1024"]44 East Groundbreaking Lance WGI's Lance Rosenfield helped with the demolition of the building while raising funds for TTF.[/caption] 44 East Avenue is a 49-story residential tower consisting of 310 units. The building will be 580 feet tall with 460,000 total square feet. [caption id="attachment_32825" align="alignnone" width="1024"]44 East Rendering Rendering via Page[/caption] Over the past several months, WGI has worked with Intracorp and the rest of the development team to help bring the 44 East project to life. WGI provided Traffic Engineering, Civil Engineering, and site development permitting services for the project. Flintco is the general contractor for the project, which is anticipated to be completed in 2022.
