Event Recap: SFAEP Wetland Delineation Workshop

Earlier this month, WGI Environmental Scientists, Amanda Montgomery and Christa Cherry participated in a two-day South Florida Association of Environmental Professionals (SFAEP) wetland delineation workshop. The two-day workshop focused on wetland delineation training provided by regulatory staff from the South Florida Water Management District and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. SFAEP Each day included a morning classroom session followed by an afternoon hands-on field session in Miami-Dade County. Agenda topics covered during the two-day workshop included vegetation tests, hydric soil indicators, hydrologic indicators, documentation, and more. SFAEP These types of professional development events are a great opportunity for associates on our environmental team to expand and streamline their professional qualifications and maintain close professional working relationships with the environmental permitting regulatory agencies (SFWMD and USACE).
