ULI Austin’s annual Impact Awards are an opportunity to recognize and celebrate projects and people throughout the greater Austin area that exemplify ULI’s mission: to shape the future of the built environment for transformative impact in communities worldwide.

This year, one of WGI’s most revolutionary projects in Austin, TX, Waterloo Park, took home the Austin Impact Award for Best Public Place!

Waterloo Park

Since re-opening to the public last summer, after being closed for construction for almost ten years, Waterloo Park has welcomed tens of thousands of visitors to explore nature, gather with friends and family, and immerse themselves in musical, cultural, and performing arts experiences.

WGI provided civil engineering and land development consulting services for this award-winning project, including the site plan permitting and design for the utilities and drainage systems.

We continue to provide our services for the overall Waterloo Greenway Park System, as we work toward completing Phase 2 in the chain of parks, The Confluence.
