Over three days of panels, discussions, and networking, our team shared insights on Florida’s most transformative infrastructure projects and celebrated two WGI-led initiatives recognized with DBIA Merit Awards for outstanding achievement in design-build execution.

Award-Winning Projects
The conference also spotlighted excellence across Florida’s design-build community, and WGI proudly took home two DBIA Merit Awards for outstanding project performance and innovation:
- Clay County Bonded Transportation Program
A $140 million initiative addressing safety, congestion, and connectivity across six major roadway projects. By integrating multiple delivery methods, including design-build, CMAR, and design-bid-build, under a unified management framework, the program was delivered on time and within budget, dramatically improving mobility and safety for residents throughout Clay County.
- JTA Ultimate Urban Circulator – Bay Street Innovation Corridor
The nation’s largest urban autonomous vehicle transit program, this transformative project redefines urban mobility through a progressive Design-Build-Operate-Maintain (DBOM) approach. WGI helped the Jacksonville Transportation Authority implement connected AV lanes, smart signals, 5G infrastructure, and the new Autonomous Innovation Center, setting a new benchmark for innovation and collaboration in public transportation.
