WGI was proud to continue its longstanding support of the Texas Parking and Transportation Association (TPTA) by participating in the 2025 Annual Conference, held last week in Galveston, Texas. With more than two decades of active involvement with TPTA, WGI continues to be a proud supporter of this important statewide event that brings together transportation professionals, municipal leaders, and innovators from across Texas.
This year’s conference proved to be one of the most dynamic yet, offering valuable opportunities to exchange ideas, deepen relationships, and spotlight groundbreaking projects shaping the future of parking and transportation.
WGI’s presence was led by a talented team of experts, including Benjamin Sands, CPP, Jacob Gonzalez, PE, and Britney Cooper, who took full advantage of the week’s networking events, educational sessions, and project showcases.
A Triumph of Innovation and Collaboration
A major highlight of the conference was WGI’s support of our client, Galveston Wharves, during the guided tour of the newly developed Terminal 10 – a state-of-the-art cruise terminal facility that has garnered industry acclaim, including a 2023 TPTA Parking Technology Award.
With more than 100 attendees joining the tour, it was a proud moment for WGI to share the innovative planning and engineering behind the terminal’s success, with the project now serving as a shining example of what’s possible through strong collaboration and thoughtful design.
Charting New Horizons
Another standout moment of this year’s annual conference came during the IPMI Leadership session, where Jacob Gonzalez, PE, took the stage as an esteemed panelist. Jacob, WGI’s VP of Client Solutions, contributed valuable insight on progressive leadership, addressing the evolving challenges transportation professionals face in today’s fast-changing environment.
Jacob’s perspective helped spark an engaging dialogue about adaptability, innovation, and the importance of cultivating strong, forward-thinking teams, leaving attendees with plenty to consider as they navigate their own leadership journeys.
From meaningful conversations on the exhibition floor to learning about the latest technologies and strategies impacting the industry, the 2025 TPTA Conference offered an energizing and inspiring experience, and as always, WGI was proud to be part of the momentum driving Texas’s transportation and mobility advancements forward!
