The Florida Engineering Society (FES) represents the interests and visions of Professional Engineers throughout the state of Florida.
The FES Palm Beach Chapter is heavily involved in expanding educational outreach by regularly planning and hosting events to promote the engineering profession and increase awareness about the positive impact engineers have on our communities.
Every year, many of the most prominent Palm Beach County engineering firms join together with the FES Palm Beach Chapter for a fun-filled day of sporting clays. On Friday, January 13th, 2023, the FES held its Annual Charity Sporting Clay Shoot Tournament at the South Florida Shooting Club in Indiantown, FL.
WGI participated as a Station Sponsor and was happy to donate custom signage for the participating teams in the event.
Members of the WGI Team, including FES Board Member, Rick Joseph, attended the event and were ready for some clay shooting action! WGI registered a four-man squadron that consisted of sharpshooters Brett Fuller, William Davis, Eric Matthews, and Frank Zaremba.
All proceeds from the event went to Sleep In Heavenly Peace, a group of volunteers dedicated to building, assembling and delivering top-notch bunk beds to children and families in need, as well as the FES Palm Beach Chapter Scholarship Fund whose focus is to inspire and encourage the pursuit of education in engineering.
After another great turnout, we are looking forward to participating in this great cause and fun event again next year!
