WGI proudly participated in the 2025 Lexus Corporate Run, joining dozens of South Florida companies for an exciting evening focused on health, teamwork, and community. The event highlighted our commitment to employee wellness and the strong culture that drives us forward.

Recently, WGI associates laced up their running shoes and joined thousands of professionals across South Florida for the 2025 Lexus Corporate Run Series – One of the largest and most spirited corporate fitness events across the nation.

With strong participation, high energy, and a shared focus on health and camaraderie, the WGI team proudly represented one of our Core Values – Be The Change You Seek!

A South Florida Tradition

Now in its fourth decade, the Corporate Run has grown into a celebrated tradition for businesses across the region.

Hosted by TeamFootWorks and sponsored by Lexus, the series invites companies of all sizes to come together in the name of fitness, teamwork, and fun. With events taking place in key cities throughout South Florida, the series continues to draw tens of thousands of participants each year, from casual walkers to competitive runners and everyone in between.

More than just a 5K, the Corporate Run is designed to encourage healthier lifestyles in the workplace, foster team bonding, and connect organizations across industries in a high-energy, inclusive environment.

WGI’s Presence and Purpose

WGI associates from across disciplines gathered under the WGI tent to connect, compete, and cheer each other on, with the 5K providing an opportunity to put our values into action, and bringing together colleagues in an environment that emphasized health, encouragement, and fun.

One of the highlights of the evening came from our CEO, David Wantman, who demonstrated the same passion and drive on the racecourse as he does in the boardroom, finishing with an impressive time of 25:34…. Leading the way for Team WGI, however, was Eric Matthews, who crossed the finish line as our fastest associate with an outstanding time of 21:06!

Whether walking, running, or cheering from the sidelines, every WGI participant brought enthusiasm and pride to the event, reminding us that success is just as much about the journey as it is the finish line.

A Night of Connection

The atmosphere at the Corporate Run was nothing short of electric!

Tents lined the perimeter of Meyer Amphitheatre, each uniquely decorated with company pride, offering everything from snacks and beverages to post-run celebrations. For many, this night was about far more than physical performance – it was a reminder of the magic that can happen when people step outside of routine and show up to support one another.

Strength in Numbers, Power in People

As we reflect on this year’s Corporate Run, we’re reminded that WGI’s strength lies not just in what we build, but in who we are – people who support one another, push boundaries, and show up for the community.
