The 500 Davis parking facility is constructed of conventionally reinforced concrete slabs and beams and is located within the footprint of the office building it serves. Our evaluation revealed extensive leaking and deterioration of the supported concrete slabs. Our report included a recommended repair approach to restore the facility within the Owner’s limitations and budgetary objectives.
WGI designed and provided construction administration services for repairs to the facility that focused primarily on concrete delamination repairs and traffic-bearing membrane installation.
Project phasing was closely coordinated with the Owner at the beginning of the project to minimize the impact of the work on the Office tenants above, retail tenants below, and the adjacent residential neighbors. The project phasing was also designed to allow ongoing use of the facility during repairs.
