WGI was retained to provide planning, site design, environmental, and landscape architecture services for this 5.11 ac commercial property located on the corner of State Road 7/US 441 and Atlantic Avenue in unincorporated Palm Beach County. Scope included preparation of site plan drawings for a 7,000 s.f Wawa convenience store with outdoor dining and 16 fueling positions. WGI designers incorporated Wawa’s specific guidelines for landscape and hardscape features into the design. Due to the nature of the use, circulation for fuel delivery trucks was carefully studied to provide the most efficient and accessible route through the property.
The site also has 32,000 sf of collocated retail and restaurant space with outdoor dining and open space. The WGI team prepared a Comprehensive Plan
and Text Amendment, Rezoning, Zoning Approvals, Site Plan, Variance, Waiver, Environmental Assessment, Landscape Plans, Hardscape Plans, and Irrigation Plans for the project. Representation at public hearings and public outreach were also provided throughout the project approval process.
