WGI partnered with the City of North Miami to create a master plan prepared to help guide future requests for parks and recreation facilities and enhancements. The Parks and Recreation Master Plan evaluated the City’s current facilities and programming and established future prioritization park of elements, programming, and implementation/decision making.

The project team coordinated a comprehensive community engagement process to inform the plan. WGI developed project graphics and materials to advertise the project, implemented a questionnaire to collect information on how the public uses the current parks and recreation system and their future recreation priorities, attended community events, conducted stakeholder interviews, and facilitated two in-person public workshops.

WGI utilized the special expertise of its team to evaluate current conditions, asset quality, funding and operation systems, and programming. The report culminated in a list of suggested capital investment and project prioritizations that will serve as a strategic blueprint to guide the City of North Miami in future parks and recreation service provision.
