WGI PROJECT

Colorado State University – Lake Street Parking Garage

Client:
Colorado State University
Location:
Fort Collins, CO
Awards:
LEED Gold

Project Description

The first multi-story parking structure at Colorado State University is at Lake Street, a vital addition that offsets parking lost to continued and ongoing development on a growing campus. The Lake Street structure also incorporates approximately 20,000 square feet of office and retail space for students and campus staff.

As part of the university’s “green” initiative, the structure includes more than 9,000 square feet of photovoltaic panels on already established land, helping conserve green space. It is 100 percent powered by sustainable energy sources, including energy generated by onsite solar power. Stormwater is detained and treated onsite via bio-swales incorporated into its landscape design. The garage received LEED Gold certification.
