WGI partnered with the Motor Carrier Size and Weight (MCSAW) program to develop a standardized scope of work that could serve as a model for future facility upgrades as part of a continuing services contract. The Flagler WIM Building Upgrades, involved renovations to both the Administration Building and Comfort Stations located at 1501 I-95, approximately 2.5 miles north of SR-100 (Exit 284), and at 1500 I-95, about 3.3 miles south of Palm Coast Parkway (Exit 289). These upgrades were part of a broader continuing services contract with MCSAW, aimed at modernizing infrastructure while improving operational efficiency and occupant safety.
The scope of work included interior reconfigurations for better space utilization, full replacement of finishes, workstation design, and updates to meet ADA and building code compliance. Security enhancements were made through upgraded bullet-resistant components. Mechanical and electrical improvements focused on energy-efficient HVAC systems, modern lighting, a new generator, and updated electrical panels. Exterior enhancements included new flagpoles, sidewalk replacements, and soffit system upgrades—delivering a comprehensive modernization of the facilities.
