WGI performed topographic surveys, QLB, and QLA field investigations along a Duke Energy easement in Leesburg, Florida. Section A included 1.25 miles between Main Avenue and the easement; Section B consisted of 2.25 miles along the easement between FL-33 and US Highway 27; and Section C included 2.5 miles along US Highway 27 between the easement and Bridges Road.
Survey services included researching public records, as well as locating, checking, and establishing horizontal and vertical control; locating existing right-of-way and boundary monumentation; locating aboveground visible improvements; obtaining spot elevations on a 100-foot grid; locating and identifying storm drainage structures and gravity sanitary sewer manholes, including pipe sizes, types, invert elevations, and connectivity.
SUE services included QLB investigation to flag/mark each section’s discoverable underground utility facilities. For Section A, WGI provided three cross-sections to determine the side of the road to designate, and the investigation encompassed approximately 6,200 feet and three underground utilities totaling approximately 3.5 utility miles. Section B consisted of approximately 11,700 feet, one underground utility, and five road crossings with four underground utilities. For Section C, WGI provided three cross-sections, and the investigation encompassed approximately 12,700 feet and four underground utilities, totaling approximately 9.6 utility miles.
