WGI partnered with the Motor Carrier Size and Weight (MCSAW) program to develop a standardized scope of work that could serve as a model for future facility upgrades as part of a continuing services contract. These upgrades were part of a broader continuing services contract with MCSAW, aimed at modernizing infrastructure while improving operational efficiency and occupant safety.
The typical scope of work included interior reconfigurations at the Administration Building and Comfort Station for better space utilization, full replacement of finishes, workstation design, and updates to meet ADA and building code compliance. Security enhancements were made through upgraded bullet-resistant components. Mechanical and electrical improvements focused on energy-efficient HVAC systems, modern lighting, a new generator, and updated electrical panels. Exterior enhancements included new flagpoles, sidewalk replacements, and soffit system upgrades—delivering a comprehensive modernization of the facilities.
At select sites, the scope was modified to include Comfort Station replacement and Inspection Barn replacement or rehabilitation.
