This boundary survey of 12 sections of land in western Palm Beach County required completion and certification within six weeks of notice to proceed to meet the accelerated closing schedule of the District. The District was acquiring the lands to expand the existing Storm Water Treatment Area and increase storage and treatment capacity. WGI provided field surveys which retraced the sections and corresponding plat and canal boundaries utilizing two in-house field crews and one subconsultant field crew. A full title commitment was provided and reviewed, and errors in previous surveys and legal descriptions were rectified in conjunction with the SFWMD’s legal department. All section corners were monumented and referenced, boundary corners were set, sketch and legal descriptions were provided, and final boundary survey maps were submitted and approved on time and on budget.
