2014 Inc. 5000 List Of Fastest-Growing Companies

Inc. Magazine Unveils 33rd Annual List of America’s Fastest-Growing Private Companies; WGI One of Only 30 Engineering Firms on the List

Wantman Group, Inc. (WGI) proudly announces that Inc. magazine ranked it No. 3767 on its 33rd annual Inc. 5000, an exclusive ranking of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies. The list represents the most comprehensive look at the most important segment of the economy—America’s independent entrepreneurs. Companies such as Yelp, Pandora, Timberland, Dell, Domino’s Pizza, LinkedIn, Zillow, and many other well-known names gained early exposure as members of the Inc. 5000.

“We are extremely pleased to be on this prestigious list for the first time,” said David Wantman, PE, and president of WGI. “WGI is very proud to be recognized for our success and growth during some of the toughest years in the economic recovery. Every one of our associates shares credit for this award because our evolution has been a result of their hard work, tenacity, and extraordinary efforts.”

The 2014 Inc. 5000 is the most competitive crop in the list’s history, according to the magazine. The Inc. 5000’s aggregate revenue is $211 billion, generating 505,000 jobs over the past three years. Complete results of the Inc. 5000, including company profiles and an interactive database that can be sorted by industry, region, and other criteria, can be found atwww.inc.com/inc5000

WGI is one of 120 South Florida companies that made the Inc. 5000. To put some perspective on the list as a whole, while the average company achieved a three-year growth of 516%, 66.9% of the companies that made the list have total revenues below WGI.

Methodology

The 2014 Inc. 5000 is ranked according to percentage revenue growth when comparing 2010 to 2013. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2010. They had to be U.S.-based, privately held, for profit, and independent–not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies–as of December 31, 2013. (Since then, a number of companies on the list have gone public or been acquired.) The minimum revenue required for 2010 is $100,000; the minimum for 2013 is $2 million. As always, Inc. reserves the right to decline applicants for subjective reasons. The Inc. 500|5000 is a list of the fastest-growing private companies in the nation. Started in 1982, this prestigious list of the nation’s most successful private companies has become the hallmark of entrepreneurial success.
