This endeavor mirrors the award-winning Brightline Highspeed Rail projects that are currently taking place across the nation both in Florida and and on the West Coast.
This historic initiative, spearheaded by the collaborative efforts of various stakeholders, is poised to transform regional transportation dynamics and foster economic growth across both states.
At the forefront of this groundbreaking endeavor is WGI’s own Cheryl Collins, whose instrumental role in crafting the grant proposal on behalf of the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) proved pivotal in securing these federal funds amidst stiff competition.

The proposed 162-mile rail corridor is poised to revolutionize travel between these two bustling metropolises, ushering in a new era of enhanced accessibility and connectivity.
