Project Spotlight: Rocky Hill Equipment Rentals

WGI provided civil engineering services for the construction of Rocky Hill Equipment Rentals’ new headquarters facility located in the heart of Texas.
WGI’s Civil Engineering team took a four-acre site outside of San Antonio, TX, and transformed it into the new headquarters of Rocky Hill Equipment Rentals, an equipment rental company with more than 30 years of experience providing construction equipment for residential projects throughout the south-central Texas region.

The new 18,000-square-foot heavy construction equipment rental administrative office and state-of-the-art maintenance facility provide a major upgrade for Rocky Hill’s operations. The facility was designed with a fully equipped, stand-alone wash bay to service all of Rocky Hill’s rental hardware.

WGI worked closely with the owner and architect to develop a site plan that satisfied the service requirements of the facility and also complied with the local municipality’s development standards.

The site is also an ideal location for the transportation of rental equipment as it was conveniently placed in the heart of Texas near multiple access points to the state highway and various construction sites already under development.

The various services provided by WGI include site planning, platting, survey, site & utility design, and floodplain analysis.
Supplying a comprehensive floodplain analysis and model for floodplains that encroach into the project site allowed the team to maximize the developable area and mitigate downstream impacts from the development.
