The Clay County Bonded Transportation Program is a countywide infrastructure initiative designed to address rapid population growth and improve the safety, capacity, and connectivity of the region’s transportation network. The program includes improvements to six existing roadways and the construction of Cathedral Oak Parkway, a new major corridor connecting Clay County to the First Coast Expressway.
WGI partnered with Clay County to help deliver this transformative program, supporting roadway improvements that reduce congestion, expand capacity, enhance drainage, and create safer, more accessible corridors for motorists, pedestrians, and cyclists. Through strategic planning and innovative funding, the county accelerated the delivery of critical infrastructure projects that would have otherwise taken decades to complete.
Construction began in 2022 following years of planning and analysis to ensure the transportation network could accommodate future growth. The program represents a long-term investment in mobility, safety, and economic development while improving quality of life for residents throughout Clay County.
