WGI’s Structures Division designed both the wet well and submersible pump station for Control Structure No. 4. Control Structure No. 4 provided Lake Worth Drainage District (LWDD) with the ability to back pump water from the C-51 canal back into the LWDD drainage system to provide necessary irrigation water for land owners and farmers serviced by the drainage district.
The recently added electrical room will house vital IT equipment which will allow the district to remotely control gates and pumps throughout the district. The design utilized cast-in-place and precast concrete components.
