The City of San Antonio partnered with WGI to deliver civil engineering and landscape architecture QA/QC services for the Maverick Park trail extension project, located near the University of Texas at San Antonio campus. This collaboration supports the City’s goal of enhancing the trail system’s functionality and aesthetics while maintaining design uniformity throughout the park.
WGI’s role involved close coordination with the San Antonio Water System (SAWS) to ensure the proposed water service design met all specifications and integrated seamlessly with the existing infrastructure. Key challenges included routing a water line across the park and incorporating a new fountain into the system. Through proactive collaboration with SAWS, WGI ensured the new infrastructure adhered to all necessary standards and regulations, aligning with the City’s requirements and preserving consistency across the trail system.
Beyond civil engineering, WGI’s landscape architecture team is delivering vital QA/QC services to support the successful implementation of the trail extension.
By partnering with WGI, the City of San Antonio is reinforcing its commitment to creating vibrant, connected public spaces that enhance the community’s quality of life.
