WGI PROJECT

Michigan State University Parking Ramp #6 (Grand Avenue)

Client:
Michigan State Universtiy
Location:
East Lansing, MI
Project Size:
7 Levels, 730 Spaces

Project Description

Michigan State University is one of the largest universities in the United States, with a sprawling campus comprised of over 550 buildings that feature both gothic and modern architecture, interspersed with shade trees and winding roads. The north end of campus dates to a time when automobile transportation was neither anticipated or planned, but decades of growth required additional parking to accommodate its students and faculty. We provided initial planning and feasibility, functional design, and structural engineering services for a parking facility that drew international attention for its aesthetic appeal and ability to blend into the surrounding historic architecture.
