Under a continuing service contract with Volusia County, WGI provides zoning reviews for building permit applications. To support the workload for County staff, WGI is responsible for reviewing the submittal documents for consistency with the County’s Code of Ordinances. WGI reviews the submitted permits and associated documents for compliance and provides comments to indicate deficiencies and stamped plans for approval when reviews are complete. WGI provides these reviews to Volusia County staff using the County’s online permitting system within seven business days to support their statutory requirement to meet strict deadlines for permit reviews.
