D.R. Horton has an agricultural site near Wellington under contract and filed plans for a single-family home community. The national homebuilder filed a land-use amendment with Palm Beach County for the 36.5-acre site at 9584 Lake Worth Road.
There’s been a surge in single-family home sales in South Florida over the past year as the area attracts new residents, so D.R. Horton aims to meet demand from those buyers. Jennifer Vail of WGI, which represents the developer, says the application calls for up to 205 single-family homes.
