The Continued Impact of Award-Winning Design

Taking the industry by storm and earning not 1, not 2… but 6 awards, the Wekiva Section 6 corridor between Lake County and Seminole County, FL carried WGI’s transportation team to a victorious year!

Bypassing Interstate 4 and connecting Lake County to Seminole County, the Wekiva Parkway Section 6 project has garnered significant recognition since its completion, receiving six prestigious awards for its outstanding engineering, construction, and environmental conservation efforts. With a focus on safety, environmental stewardship, and wildlife-friendly bridge connectivity, this one-of-a-kind project has become the new benchmark for innovative infrastructure development.

Wekiva Parkway Section 6 includes a four-lane toll road, a parallel service road, a multi-use trail, electronic tolling gantries, and the remarkable Wekiva River Crossing. The centerpiece of this project comprises three segmental bridges spanning 6,000 feet, carrying both the Wekiva Parkway and a shared-use path.
