WGI Unleased Podcast Episode 54 – Jackie Tuten and Ashley Schmidt
For our final WGI Unleashed episode of the year, and in celebration of National Twin Day on December 18th, we talked to WGI’s only set of twins, Ashley Schmidt and Jackie Tuten. Both are located in our Austin, TX office and have been with WGI for over 6 years.
While talking to the twins, we got to know what it’s like to grow up as a twin and found out which one of them is technically older. We learned they were both born and raised in Austin and were roommates in college at The University of Texas at Austin. They told us about some of their previous jobs and how they both ended up working together here at WGI. Both are animal lovers so naturally, we talked about their pets at home. We even found out that Jackie plans to add some goats and a mule to her brood in the future! Tune in to the full episode to find out which one of them can’t whistle and what song Ashley would sing if she was forced to do Karaoke.
Jackie is currently the Project Accounting Manager for the Finance and Accounting team but will be transitioning into a new role on the Operations side at the beginning of 2022. As an Operations Analyst, Jackie will work with the Director of Operations to enhance our project management system to result in increased profitability, stellar client satisfaction, and the full engagement of our WGI project managers, phase managers, and associates. She will be responsible for project analysis and PM support, assisting with ERP software enhancements, and establishing and maintaining project excellence initiatives.
Ashley is currently transitioning from the Finance and Accounting team as a Project Accounting Specialist, to a Project Coordinator role within our Civil Engineering division. She will work closely with the Civil Leadership team and be a support system for our WGI Project Managers to ensure they have the tools they need to successfully execute projects. This role includes but is not limited to: assisting with project accounting questions and issues, responding to client inquiries, assisting with training initiatives, preparing and monitoring project metrics, and reviewing data validation reports for accuracy.
