On January 6, 2021, WGI participated in the groundbreaking ceremony for the Flagler Station project in Downtown West Palm Beach, Florida. In collaboration with The Housing Trust Group, WGI is providing Planning, Civil Engineering, and Landscape Architecture services for this eight-story, mixed-use development. Flagler Station will deliver 94 affordable housing units to the community and will feature a micromobility hub, linear park, pedestrian promenade, and ground floor retail space.
Seen as the gateway to both the downtown and Historic Northwest neighborhood, this 0.74-acre site not only proved challenging in terms of its location and site constraints, but required additional coordination between the project team, the City, and the CRA.
The project includes the design of a linear park along the north side of the project on public right-of-way, which builds upon the City’s Rails-to-Trails program and improves the pedestrian network in and around the site.
The design of this site activates the public realm, incorporates pedestrian-oriented design, and references the historical architectural vernacular of the area. The project is expected to complete in 2022.
No matter how complex or unique your project may be, WGI has the team with the right expertise to accommodate every aspect of your project needs.
