University of Florida Graduate School Campus Comprehensive Due Diligence

As an initial step in the comprehensive planning and design for the proposed University of Florida Graduate School campus in West Palm Beach, Florida, WGI provided the University a comprehensive Due Diligence report on the 11.63-acre site located in downtown’s urban core.

Professional Services:

Preliminary assessment of the site, including the investigation of natural and cultural resources, underground utilities, contamination, asbestos, and geotechnical soil profiles.

Detailed land title survey of the 11.63-acre site, which included compliance with ALTA/NSPS land title requirements as well as right-of-way and easement research and underground subsurface QLB utility investigations.

Environmental Site Assessment including a database search, a threatened and endangered species assessment, a wetlands assessment, a specimen tree inventory, an asbestos containing material survey, a cultural and historic resources report, and a preliminary exploration and an evaluation of possible historical ground water contamination.

PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS:

• The University of Florida, West Palm Beach Graduate School Campus Due Diligence Report was performed in three separate sections based on ownership, including the City of West Palm Beach, Palm Beach County, and a private landowner. Due to the critical nature of this report for the transfer of property ownership, WGI completed all services ahead of schedule and within budget.
