WGI’s Land Design Services Division developed a new landscape vision and identity throughout the 27-hole Admiral’s Cove golf course community. The character of the community is unique with 25-year old Laurel Oaks lining the main boulevard. Despite the friendly canopy, the trees were impeding views into the golf course, and creating serious maintenance issues. With this in mind, our firm worked with the POA to create a vision that would complement and enhance the beauty of the golf course, while maintaining the overall character of the streetscape. Our environmental team performed an analysis and inventory of over 200 hardwood trees, carefully selecting those for preservation based on a number of factors. Working around the existing conditions, a landscape plan was developed for the main entrance and boulevard, focusing on medians, cart crossings, and viewshed areas. To help illustrate our vision for the community, we produced a series of photo-realistic renderings of each landscape area, which were presented to, and accepted by, the community and Town of Jupiter.
Planted materials include; Royal palms, Sylvester Date palms, Bismark palms, and Magnolia and Cassia trees, in combination with several native shrubs and ground covers. The final product provides a fresh look for the residents to enjoy for years to come.
