The Hilton Garden Inn project, located at 17th and Lavaca Street, is a 17-story hotel consisting of 214 keys. The project is the second permitted project in Austin to not contain any parking as part of the site development permit.
WGI provided both civil and transportation planning services as part of this project. Specific design elements consisted of the preparation and permitting of a traffic demand management study; the design and permitting of almost 225 linear feet of Austin Energy duct bank; the design and permitting of nearly 150 linear feet of new water lines and wastewater lines; the preparation and permitting of a City of Austin license agreement; and approval of the project as part of the City of Austin downtown density bonus program.
