The Indianapolis Airport Authority was interested in improving the passenger-parking experience by providing efficient and sufficient parking, and evaluating new user-focused technologies or policies — while improving overall parking revenues. WGI evaluated the occupancy levels/parking demand and operations at its parking facilities, including valet, long-term, short-term, employee, and overflow lots, and structured parking. We analyzed parking-rate structures, amenities, and operations at each location and provided recommendations to improve utilization, turnover, overall parking accommodations, and revenue. We also reviewed off-site competitor locations’ rates, amenities, and operations, establishing a competitive rate structure. WGI then developed conceptual expansion plans accommodating the airport’s growth when providing parking circulation and layout concepts.
