More hotel developers are betting on Austin’s hospitality sector recovering rapidly from the Covid-19 pandemic.
Tampa-based F10 Hotels and Sarasota, Florida-based Floridays Development Co. plan to build an approximately 280-room hotel on a 2.21-acre site at the southwest corner of East Fifth and Robert T. Martinez Jr. streets in East Austin, according to F10 Hotels and a site plan application for the project filed with the city of Austin Development Services Department. The five-story hotel will be about 164,372 square feet.
Winter Park, Florida-based architecture firm Fugleberg Koch is designing the hotel. Blacksmith Collaborative is the landscape architect, and WGI Inc. is the civil engineer.
