WGI assisted AJAX Paving in developing its new corporate headquarters on 4.13 acres of industrial property in Hillsborough County, Florida. WGI provided civil engineering, environmental, and landscape architecture services. During the process, the City of Temple Terrace annexed the property and zoned it light industrial to provide the utilities through the city.
Water lines were connected adjacent to the street along the north property line. An off-site sanitary sewer force main was extended approximately 1,400 linear feet to serve the site. WGI designed a sanitary sewer lift station that discharged through the new force main, and a stormwater management system comprised of overland/sheet flow drainage, inlet/pipe conveyance systems, and an online retention pond. To connect to the city’s sanitary sewer system, WGI prepared a sanitary sewer system analysis to show that the receiving force main had the required capacity and to determine the pressure in the system. Permitting was accomplished through the City of Temple Terrace, Hillsborough County, Southwest Florida Water Management District (SWFWMD), and Hillsborough County Environmental Protection Commission (EPC).
