The Boeing Company is the world’s largest aerospace company and leading manufacturer of commercial jetliners and defense, space and security systems. WGI will work closely with Boeing staff members at NAS Cecil Field to provide survey support on the Compass Rose (also known as a compass calibration pad, utilized by all aircraft on a frequent schedule to calibrate and adjust their navigational equipment). These efforts will include observations of magnetic north to determine the current declination, while also utilizing a magnetometer to determine if the existing calibration pad is positioned within a “magnetically quiet zone”. All field services will require high security clearance and close coordination with both military and civilian personnel at Cecil Field.
