WGI provided traffic engineering services for the proposed Home Depot location on Marbach Road in the City of San Antonio. The proposed Home Depot (137,810) and potential future commercial development (~40,000 square feet) were analyzed in the report, broken into two phases to show the impacts of each development individually. The project is anticipated to generate 10,456 daily vehicle trips to the site in the full build condition. When analyzed, the development was determined not to have significant enough impacts to require mitigations in the build condition.
During the project, WGI coordinated with the client, city, county, and project engineers to justify a full-access driveway along the primary arterial access. The project was deemed not to be viable without this full access point, making this coordination crucial to the feasibility of the project. Eventually, the full-access driveway was approved, allowing WGI to proceed and complete the Traffic Impact Analysis for the project.
