WGI completed an evaluation of the building facade to review the condition of the exterior masonry wall components and make recommendations for repair and maintenance and provide associated probable repair costs. We reviewed the existing conditions and recommended performing repairs to correct deficiencies and waterproof the systems.
Construction for the recommended repairs to restore the brick masonry façade is currently in progress. Repairs include:
• Slate roof tile replacement
• Mortar repointing – 100 % of brick and stone masonry joints
• Brick masonry replacement at isolated distress
• Lintel replacement & installation of flashing
• Cleaning and painting steel lintels to remain
• Brick masonry crack repair
• Limestone patching at isolated distress
• Limestone crack repair
• Rout existing mortar and replace with sealant at head joints in stone copings and watertables
• Brick and stone masonry cleaning
• Application of a clear water repellent at brick and stone masonry
• Sealant replacement
• Masonry Repairs
• Sealant Repairs
• Replacement of the Soffit
