The Inlet Village Marina was developed as a phased project. The Town of Jupiter acquired the land, which is located north of Indiantown Road on an oxbow of the Loxahatchee River. The first phase of the project was to provide a new seawall and docking facility. WGI provided structural design and detailing for two five-footwide by 30-foot long, ADA-compliant, fixed docks and an aluminum barrier railing along the seawall. The Town was provided with design criteria and foundation design for the floating dock system. Additional improvements included site parking and amenities such as restrooms and picnic areas.
WGI also provided construction phase services for this project, including shop drawing review, RFI responses, and attending pre-construction meetings and periodic milestone meetings. WGI was on-site to observe all construction activities, including pile installation, dock installation, and floating dock installation. Being the record and CEI engineer allowed WGI to quickly and efficiently solve any construction-related issues that arose during construction.
