WGI was responsible for the survey control, set-up and location coordination to perform laser scanning of the main pump and generator room for the 4,800 CFS, S-5A pump station located north of the SFWMD Water Conservation Area 1 (WCA1).
The laser scan data provided the District with an accurate and detailed representation of the existing mechanical and electrical facilities in the pump room that can be used to propose design modifications and upgrades to the pump station. Due to the critical nature of this pump station and its operational status, WGI was required to obtain the scanning data without having to take the pump station out of operation.
Final deliverables were registered classified point clouds and AutoCAD MEP design files.
