US 301 at Haben Boulevard

WGI was the consultant engineer on this Design-Build venture. WGI performed all roadway, drainage, signing and marking, signalization, and structural design for this task work order. Within the project limits, US 301 is a four-lane divided highway with a raised median. The scope of services included the following:

• Median modifications to extend left-turn lane queue lengths and install median traffic separators
• Pedestrian safety improvements at the US 301/Haben Boulevard intersection that included updated curb ramps and new pedestrian signal heads
• Widening to accommodate a dual westbound left-turn lane at the US 301/ Haben Boulevard intersection
• Structural analysis of existing mast arms to accommodate proposed signal configurations
• Updated signing and marking for the modified median openings and proposed widening
• Analysis to maintain existing drainage patterns (no permit modification required)
