This downtown revitalization and beautification project transformed the existing brick-paver roadway into a versatile, pedestrian-friendly corridor in the heart of Green Cove Springs. The design introduced two 10-foot-wide driving lanes, an 8-foot parallel parking lane along the north side of the street, and 15-foot-wide sidewalks extending from the buildings to new flush curbs on both sides. Additionally, removable bollards were installed at both ends of the street to enhance flexibility.

Landscaping, lighting, and irrigation enhancements further elevated the corridor’s appeal, aligning with the Green Cove Springs Downtown Revitalization Master Plan to foster business development.

WGI provided comprehensive design services, including surveying, permitting, landscape and irrigation design, hardscape architecture, signals, signage and pavement marking, roadway design, and drainage. Post-design services encompassed punch list development and contractor progress meetings, ensuring the successful completion of this transformative project.
