WGI worked with the Palm Beach County Planning Department staff and neighborhood residents to develop the West Lake Worth Road Corridor Neighborhood Plan, Master Plan and Design Guidelines. Incorporating Smart Growth principals of interconnectivity, preservation of open space, a mixture of land uses and the creation of attractive communities with a strong sense of place, the comprehensive planning efforts of the firm created a unified vision for
a diverse community.
The West Lake Worth Road Corridor Neighborhood Plan now provides the guidelines for future growth and sustainable development for the community. WGI also prepared the traffic analysis for the project. The analysis ran the year 2030 long-range transportation plan model, from the Palm Beach County’s Metropolitan Planning Organization. The objective of the project was to evaluate the necessary transportation improvements needed to accommodate background traffic, project traffic, and the traffic from the approved projects not yet built.
