The project entailed the complete replacement of the HVAC system campus-wide for nine buildings. This included the installation of new DX air handlers and associated condensing units, some rooftop packaged units, VAV systems, exhaust systems, all-new controls, and electrical power distribution for the new equipment. Additionally, the project involved
modifications to the fire alarm system to accommodate new duct-mounted smoke detectors and associated fan shut-down
controls.
Multiple phases were necessary to relocate construction activities around the campus and maintain school operations. WGI’s project team provided mechanical and electrical engineering services, serving as the prime consultant leading the project. The project was delivered via a construction manager at risk by Foresight Construction.
