WGI PROJECT
Environmental Assessment Hollywood Reservation Wastewater Treatment Plant Seminole Tribe of Florida
Project Description
WGI prepared a National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) Environmental Assessment (EA) for the construction of a new wastewater treatment plant located on the Seminole Tribe of Florida’s Hollywood Reservation. The project included the construction of the 3 million gallon per day (MGD) treatment plant which will accommodate an average daily flow of 6 MGD and produce a reuse effluent to irrigate tribal area landscaping. The project also included the construction of an effluent disposal pipeline, an injection well pump station, and associated access ways.
To comply with NEPA, the EA evaluated potential impacts to traffic, socioeconomics, land use, cultural resources, and other natural resources such as wetlands, threatened and endangered species habitat, and floodplains. The EA was submitted to the Bureau of Indian Affairs.
