University of Michigan Parking Structure Safety Measures

WGI evaluated parking structures P1, P2, P3, and P4 on the U-M Health System campus to determine options to enhance the fall protection within the structures, including preliminary “order of magnitude” estimated costs for each option.

WGI performed engineering services for the design, bidding, and construction administration phases for the selected option of vinyl mesh fence at all levels that are two stories or more above grade within the four parking structures and ornamental fence at the P1 plaza. The project included the installation of over 67,000 square-foot of vinyl mesh fence and approximately 1,600 square-foot of ornamental fence.
