This multi-use parking facility is located between West Trade Street and West Fifth Street. The structure provides parking for tenants, residents, and visitors to the Gateway Village Complex.
The Gateway Village mixed-use development includes 900,000 square feet of office space, 900 residential units, and street-side retail space as part of its first phase.
The parking facility footprint steps back one full bay closest to the railroad track for a potential intermodal rail station.
Project Highlights:
• Six-bay, double-thread helix with four flat bays; two-way traffic.
• The garage façade is wrapped on two sides with 60-feet high, 35-feet wide brick- and glass-faced apartments and townhomes. A full-height art wall of aluminum curtain wall cantilevers in a grid pattern from the side of the parking facility facing downtown Charlotte. Two brick- and glass-faced stair and elevator towers provide parkers, and residents access to their respective destinations.
